When you join a Technical Committee, you network with experts in the field, share your accomplishments and ideas, and actively participate in defining the future in geotechnical engineering.

Joining a Geo-Institute technical committee is a great way to interact with leaders of the profession, and to have a voice in its future! Technical committee and task force membership carries with it an obligation to participate actively in committee or task force work through contribution of technical information, prompt reply for comments on draft reports and ballots, and attendance at meetings. Committee members are chosen as individuals, not as representatives of industries or groups. Personal experience and ability are the most important criteria. One may be a member of only two committees at any time.
