The samples should be taken almost immediately after completion of the column, and samples should be taken from several different depths in the same column. These samples are then cured in the lab for unconfined compressive strength, permeability, and/or density testing.

Accuracy and Precision

Wet grab samples provide relatively accurate measurements of the soilcrete properties.

Adequacy of Coverage

Only a few wet-grab samples can be taken for each column sampled, and typically only a limited percentage of columns are sampled.

Implementation Requirements

Wet-grab samples are not difficult to obtain.

General Comments

Wet-grab samples can be obtained on any jet grouting operation.
