Measurements should be taken near each column as it is being installed. This can be done by conventional surveying or by real-time, automated monitoring. If automated monitoring is used, the measurements can be taken more often with less effort.

Accuracy and Precision

These measurements are accurate and precise.

Adequacy of Coverage

The number of measurements required to assess the entire area being jet grouted is not overly expensive or time-consuming.

Implementation Requirements

These measurements are easy to perform and can be done automatically with the correct equipment.

General Comments

Ground settlement and heave measurements should be performed on all jet grouting operations under or adjacent to existing structures.
