Reference(s):

Holtz et al. (2008)

Method Summary

Moisture and density testing of the fill materials should be completed as the fill is placed. Laboratory testing should include the determination of the optimum moisture content and maximum dry density of the material, which provides the benchmark for comparison of field moisture and densities.
